Notes: Muscs, Almond, Roses, Cream
Aspects: Fresh, Gourmand, Ambrosial, Refined
Inspired by the redolent imageries of Sophia Coppola's film 'Marie Antoinette', Dauphine is a clean, ideal, fresh skin scent, pink and cream and white all over. This scent has notes of pink, full blown rose; milky, fresh, sweet almond; and a reveille of innocent, airy musks. This scent is sweet, but not in a lurid, hard-candy-way; it's sweet like fresh, cream-filled, rosewater-scented pastries.
Innocent, but not immature; quiet, never cloying: this charming and refined scent is superlatively, incandescently, and, quite simply, very, very pretty.
"I was about half in love with her by the time we sat down. That's the thing about girls. Every time they do something pretty... you fall half in love with them, and then you never know where the hell you are. " J. D. Salinger |
Divinely innocent, incandescently pretty.

Such a lovely scent, smells most like almond when first applied, but quickly dries down to a sweet powdery note (which I’m normally not a fan of, but it’s more like powdered sugar than baby powder). It’s very light and sweet, I don’t get much rose or floral, but I truly love it. I keep reapplying throughout the day, and it’s subtle enough to wear daily without tiring of. A nice little treat that makes me happy during long days of isolation. I look forward to buying a larger bottle once I run out!

The first spritz is a puff of almond that fades as it quickly transforms. Then I get baked treats and confections (although it's never too sweet), rose-scented powder, and luxurious soap. If this scent was a color, it would be white - it's clean, sophisticated, complex, and pretty - all at the same time. So as much as I love sweet, dessert-y gourmands, this isn't syrupy or heavy or cheap or simple. Instead, it's a cross between a gourmand and a clean fragrance - but not clean in a fresh or detergent sense. Instead, it is like finely milled soap, makeup, and treats from a fine bakery all rolled into one. I really love this and think I need a full bottle. It's different enough from a bunch of the Turkish delight scents and super powdery scents that I own, but there is also a nod to them. I first sampled this while watching the new Rebecca film and I thought the fragrance was a good fit for the era and mood of the film.

This is my favorite perfume of all time. I am in love with this soft, feminine scent! It is not too sweet nor cloying. It is not overpowering. I get compliments from my husband and friends but it is light, so people around you only smell it when someone gets close, which I love. Traditional, commercial perfumes give me headaches and I cannot wear them. Goest perfumes never do. I am not great at describing scents, all I can say is this is a divine lightly floral, powdery scent. So addictive. I think this is my fifth purchase of Dauphine. My second favorite is Silent Films - a very sexy, deeper scent.

One of my friends wears the "Smokers" fragrance from this brand and he smells really, really good, so I ended up buying the sampler from this brand. I work in art publishing and I'm usually drawn to things for my wardrobe that are simple and strong and not sentimental. And I usually shop masculine fragrances first because I tend to like woody fragrances over florals. So all that being said I expected Dauphine would be my least favorite in the sampler as it's described as "pretty" and rosy. It's actually perfect. I barely read rose, it's there but it's not sweet. If anything it's like smelling a real rose that doesn't have a lot of scent, if that makes sense. It has that fresh plant quality. It's the opposite of a "tea rose" or rose fragrance oil, which to me always smell musty. It's a great fragrance for daytime and at work because it has a kind of empowering clarity to it. The rollerball is great for applying to elbows but in the winter I tend to spray more on clothes, so I also got the large spray size and they're both good formats.

Amazing and sophisticated feminine scent. Sweet but not cloying, addictive. I have a lot of fragrances and this is one of my favorites.

I bought this perfume based on the reviews and an article I read about unusual and unique perfumes and I'm so glad I did. Dauphine is exactly as described in the reviews so I won't say the same thing again here but what I will add is that I love this perfume because it doesn't smell like anything else out there. It smells like another time, it's sophisticated and it's not overpowering. I've had this for about a week and have been stopped three times and told I smell amazing. Women and men love this scent. With Dauphine I received a sample of Lartigue and I IMMEDIATELY ordered that! That smells like sunshine and peaches in a bottle, almost impossible to describe but when my husband smelled that on me he said I smelled like a sexy peach pie, which is a good way to describe it.. Lartique is amazing as well and I can't wait until it arrives. Something tells me eventually I will own all of the perfumes (except for smokers perfume ; ) Give it a try!

A beautiful and clean scent. Smelling it brings to mind the suggestion of white cream, roses, and soap.

This is my first daily perfume, and I love it! It's not too strong and overpowering, and it makes me smile everytime I smell it. Which application method is best? Spritzing or roll-on?

Top notes of sweet almond that burns off to a fresh, clean floral - if pink had a scent, it would be Dauphine. It's Chanel No. 5's cool granddaughter.

This is a lovely skin scent that simply smells like clean and pure femininity. It doesn't project much but is not meant to do so. This is a scent for the wearer. It makes me think of the innocence and sweetness of a female child kept clean and safe by a loving mother. Simply delightful--thank you, Goest! Additionally, the perfume was beautifully packaged and included a free tote and a sample of Silent Film (another love for me). I cannot recommend this brand strongly enough. Goest is a treasure.
